I started my interest in cruising in my early 20's - I applied for a job with Carnival Cruise Lines and 6 months later I was in Florida training and getting fit for my tuxedo and put to work on a ship to train to be a Croupier in the casino.  I had never been in a casino but found that I loved the energy and excitement in the casino every night.  I loved being gently rocked to sleep every night also and waking up on a tropical island every morning (except for our days we were at sea, which were also wonderful).

When I stopped working for Carnival I came home and tried to work in an office but found it was not for me and missed the excitement of travel.  So I signed up for Thomas Cook Travel School and took a six month course, 2 nights a week and was hired right out of school for American Express Travel.  I was doing Corporate Travel and became kind of bored (just booking flights and hotels for corporate cleints) and figured out I needed to be in the Leisure Travel business.  I went to work for Pembroke Travel for a few years working in the office and also doing outside sales from home.  This is what I loved - Leisure Travel!

After 9/11 Pembroke Travel closed and I went to work for National Leisure Group (Vacation Outlet) still selling Leisure Travel.  When travel slowed down after 9/11 and business was slow I got into the Real Estate Business, eventually getting my license and I still work in that also.

I know my passion has always been travel so just last year, 2008, I decided to buy my own franchise and become affiliated with Cruise Planners and American Express.  I know I will be doing this until I don't need to work any more and I'll get the benefits of travelling and helping clients make their dreams come true!
